Congratulations on a successful first concert. I couldn't be more proud! Now, we have to start really polishing our balance, blend and tone in preparation for the holiday shows, especially our performance at the Frauenthal. More students need to take ownership of their music and improve their sight-reading. Big choirs seem like an easy place to hide, but your voice (singing and speaking) is the most precious part of you, so you should never ever take that responsibility lightly. You should always be the very best you, even when life throws challenges at you. You owe it to yourself and you ALL have greatness that can become even greater! Specifically, how do you need to improve your singing in choir? What do you need to do to improve your rehearsal behavior? Who is your role model in choir and why? What can you do to become someone others admire and look up to?

I need to focus on the note I am hitting, not stray to a different part and I need hold it out if I am singing a long note. To improve my behavior, I simply need to focus more. I don't really have a role model in choir at the moment. I can focus more, always hit the right note and know my notes, lyrics, and be more confident.

I need to focus on being able to hit notes on my own and not when I'm listening to someone else. I do not have a role model in choir, and to be a role model I should probably just do what I'm told and not act stupid in front of middleschoolers. To improve my rehearsal behavior I need to talk less

I need to improve myself by stop talking when i shouldn't be. It would not only help me but it would help the people around me. This is also what i can do to improve my rehearsal behavior. My role model in choir is Mrs. slimko because she always keeps me on task and i love the class. I can always be on task and be nice to tohers so people will look up to me.

I need to improve my singing in choir by hitting all of my notes. To improve my rehearsal behavior I need to sit by people who I know are going to improve my performance. My role model in choir has to be Mrs. Jackson because she always comes into the room so excited and prepared. To become a person that someone else would look up to I would always know my music, be happy in class, and always be on task.

I need to read my music more often, including when I'm at home. I know that by doing this, I can work on pitches and lyrics. In rehearsal, I need to be more focused. I need to start being more actively involved in each and every moment. At the moment, my role model in choir is my section leader, Dezzy. She's always so helpful in every way, and she always knows the right things to sing. She is not only an amazing singer, but also a great sight-reader and an overall great person to be around. I think that in order to become someone that others look up to, I need to acquire all of these qualities and branch out to meet more people. I will work on my singing, my sight reading, and my overall personality in order to be someone that others admire.

To improve my singing skills i need to stop relying on the people next to me to keep my pitch on key. If i don't have anyone beside me i can still hit the notes but it's easier when you are being carried by the rest of the alto(orsoprano, tenor or bass) section. I also have to work on my sight reading. I used to be a pro when i was in middle school but since i haven't looked at sheets of music in a couple years i need a refresher! It helps when i practice piano at home too! My role model is Maggie Ackley, her facial expressions tell a story and her voice is amazing!!

My bad Mrs. Slimko! When it comes to behavior, i can encourage others who may not be listening to pay attention so that they become a better student and singer. I try to encourage underclassmen most of the time and i can focus more and sing my heart out so others are not afraid of singing out. Hopefully that can help make them more confident.

Some ways I can improve my singing is to be more expressive and work on getting some of the right notes on parts that I'm not able to hit. I should improve my rehearsal behavior by being quiet and paying attention to what's going on. My model in choir is probablly Ricky because he pays attention and tries his best.I should pay more attention and be on task to become a role model for someone else too. Also, I look forward to performing at the frauenthal for christmas this year!

To really improve my singing in choir I need to start practicing at home. Honestly, I'm scared to practice at home because I don't want people to hear me sing. That plays a big part in it. However, I still should bring my binder home more often and look over the lyrics. My rehearsal behavior is usually pretty good, but I think I could chew gum during class less and maybe chat a little less too. My role model in choir Andrea. Even though she isn't with us every single day, she is very inspirational to me. Every time she comes to teach us she has a happy face and so much energy, even when she is going through things. She's just so sweet and cute. Her personality is so bubbly and the positive energy she creates around her makes learning her choreography so easily. She inspires me to work harder and be a better person. To become a person others can look up to I can be more social with other people in my section. I tend to stick to my friends and not really talk with other people around me. I think by getting out there and talking with more people, I can make connections I couldn't otherwise have made.

I probably need to work on the higher scale singing. I am an Alto 2 so i am used to singing lower. I could probably practice more at home. That would help my rehearsal. My roll model in choir is Emma Berends because she is just so confident in what she is singing. I could probably just be a person who helps out in class and helps other people with thing such as solfedge. I could also be someone who sings very confidentially and helps others get to the right note like how Emma helps me.

She is always on task, always knows her notes, and is just a fun person to be around. She is always willing to help me when i need it. Whenever i have a question i go straight to her! For me to become someone to look up to i need to branch out and talk to some of those people that i don't normally talk to. Something I could do to improve my singing in choir is to sing louder. I tend to know my part more times than less, but I've been singing louder recently. To improve my rehearsal behavior, I could focus more when it comes to knowing approximately all of my parts in songs we're practicing. My role model in choir would be Ashley Babcock. Although she's been absent, I miss having her around and she's great when it comes to choir. She knows all of her parts and sings very well. Something I could do to become someone looks up to is help others around me that are confused with their part in a song or when we are practing reading notes.

I need to improve my singing in choir by projecting more. To improve my rehearsal behavior I need to not talk to the people around me as much and focus on the music. I have many role models in choir, but Mary Hoopes is one because she always knows what she is doing and tries her hardest everyday. I should be more of a leader and role model by being focused more and reaching my full potential.

I need to improve my singing in choir by taking more time out of school to practice my music, reading what each piece of music is really about, and I need to make sure I am paying attention in class at all times. To improve my rehearsal behavior, I need to sit by people who are not going to distract me during class. My role model in choir is Dezi, because she is always singing her heart out, even in class, and she is always excited and ready to go. What I can do as a role model is make sure I am always singing, reading my music, and doing the sight reading.

Talking instead of singing and learning just makes it more difficult to be successful and ready for performance. If you are confused, work harder on focusing and sitting by people who can help you rather than talking to a neighbor who might distract you even more.

I need to improve my singing by trying harder to hit the higher notes we have. I think I should work on being louder, too. In rehearsal, it's hard to always be on task when you're sitting with your friends, but so that's another thing I need to work on. My role model in choir is Hannah Gascho and Deziray Taylor because they always seem motivated even if they're having a bad day, and they're always giving off a happy vibe. To be someone others look up to, I could try helping people when they need it, and always be there for the other choir family members.

I need to improve by making sure that everybody knows the precise pitches we are supposed to sing. My choir role models have always been Bruce and Marshal from when I was a freshman. They were both great singers, but they were also leaders. The way they interacted with the rest of the section and made sure that everybody had somebody to talk to has inspired me to do the same. I need to improve my singing by using more air so I don’t feel the urge to take a breath. To improve my rehearsal behavior, I need to be focused and try not to talk to people around me when we are about to sing. Haley is my role model because she knows what to do as a section leader, and if I ever need to know a part, I know I can go up to her and she is always happy to help me. For example, in our Frozen piece, Madi and I were struggling to find a part and Haley came over and sang it for us, which was very helpful. To become someone who is admired, I can talk to new people that I haven’t before.

I think the thing i need to improve on the most in singing is the breaths i'm taking. sense i'm a tenor I have to take longer breathes to get the higher notes out and I usually take shorter breathes. So if i take longer breathes, I will be allot better.

I specifically need to work on hitting the higher notes and my tone. I need to improve my rehearsal behaviors but not talking as much. I also need to ask more questions. My role model is Grace because she is always doing more to succeed. I love that girl so much and want to be a great singer just like her. To become someone that others look up to I need to make sure I understand my part and help others.

I thank the world every day for Mrs. Slimko and Mrs. Jackson. With out them there would be no choir at all and I honestly don't know how or what I would do or even how I could cope with out our choir. When the stress is getting to me from all of my other classes and I FINALLY get to choir, all of it just melts away. I don't know about anyone else but my escape from life is music and to have such amazing and wonderful people running our choir is one of the best things in the world. Choir is a safe zone for everyone and when you enter everyone is supportive everyone, no matter who they are or what they are dealing with at that moment in time. We are called a family for a reason, we can depend count on each other all the time no matter what. I love my choir family and wouldn't trade or change it for the world.

I need to work on singing through four measures in one breath and stretching my phrases. I also need to focus on the tone and projection of my singing. During rehearsal, I need to always have a positive attitude and help others if they're confused. My role model in choir is Amanda because she is extremely talented and hard-working. She a great person to talk to or ask for help during rehearsals. She sings with expression, has a positive attitude, and knows how to brighten anyone's day. To become someone that others admire, I can get to know more people in choir and encourage others. I need to lead by example by singing more confidently and be a positive role model both in class and around school.

I need to work on being able to hit all of my notes. For rehearsals I need to be more positive. My role model in choir would have to be Amanda she is so positive and so nice to every one. Some things I could do to cause peopleto admire me would to be more of a role model, to step up to new tasks.

The way I could improve my singing is by being more expressive and not singing with a blank look on my face. My behavior during rehearsals is pretty good, I don't really talk much. I don't really admire anyone, but there are a lot a good singers in my section. I can be a good example for others to be admired.

I really need to work on breathing techniques, because I seem to run out of air before the four measures are up. I need to use that mostly in Frozen because of all the cut times. I feel that I am well behaved, but sometimes I can get off focus and not pay attention. My role model is Haley because she has an amazing voice and has always done a great job with helping us. I can be a leader more with my singing because I tend not to sing out with fear that I’m doing it wrong, but if I didn’t have the fear I think some people would look up to me more.

In choir, my singing could improve if I worked on four bar phrases. When singing higher, it is harder to sing all the notes correctly, in the right time, and without having to take a breath in the middle of measures. To improve my rehearsal behavior, I should not pay attention to distractions and do the task at hand. I have quite a few different role models for choir, but one of them that I think really needs to know is Lauryn Anderson. She is usually in front of me on the other side of the room when I look up. We've made some faces at each other, but I can look at her and see her reflecting the true meaning of the music in her facial expressions and body language. I can always tell how she feels about and interprets the music in just her face, which I think is essential for achieving the highest success in any music or performing art form. I can always look at her to help me get a different, poetic perspective on her view of the piece. To become a better role model in choir, I could help those who need added help in my section more often and really, really focus on listening to others as I sing to catch mistakes and help. I could also support people that are more timid or weak, as this may be because they are nervous and/or don't understand.

when I am singing in choir I often forget the part that I am singing because it all just sounds so Beautiful! So I need to improve on remembering my part and singing out louder. My role model in choir would have to be Deziray Taylor because she inspires me to sing out, she is always happy, and I like to sit by her because she always hits the right notes and that makes it easier for me to sing. to become someone that others look up to I could talk to people I don't usually talk to.

Something I could do to improve my singing is simply sing louder and not worry about who is listening and what they're going to say. To improve my rehearsal behavior I could move by people I don't normally talk to or by my section leader because they know what they're doing, especially mine. My role model is Sena because she is always there to help and she knows when I need help and she tries her best to make sure that i get what we're doing. She's not mean about it either she has a lot of patience. I know that i can count on her and I'm sad that this year is her last year. Something I can do to be someone others admire and look up to is just put my all in and stop worrying what other people think. Be there for someone when they need it. Push myself to be more out there and go out of my way to be friendly and talk to people I never talk to. Stop being the person who waits for other people to talk me and not be so shy. Its a lot but I know that if I try hard enough I can do it.

To improve my singing in choir, I need to give more effort in memorization. I also need to work on focusing on my part, and not getting lost in the middle of a song. To improve my rehearsal behavior, I need to try to be more selfless. I let my bad moods control my attitude and I wouldn't be surprised if it affected anyone else. My role model in choir is Lena, because she's incredibly talented musically and she gives her all everyday. If I weren't already friends with her, I don't think I would be intimidated to reach out to her if I needed help. To become someone others look up to, I think I need to practice more, be a lot more confident, and try to work around my own negative energy.

To improve my singing in choir, I need to be a better at singing my part. I don't really need to improve on my rehearsal behavior. I am usually on task and doing what I am supposed to do. I have many role models in choir and all for many different reasons. One of them is Grace Goszkowicz because she is so good at everything! She has an amazing voice and knows her part for all of the songs and is a very nice person. I always enjoy being around her. To be someone others admire and look up to, I need to work on getting better at all of the qualities people look for in a role model like being a good singer and sight reader, knowing my part, and being confident.

I need to work on my phrasing more in choir. I believe moving around more and not sitting next to the same people all the time could be beneficial, as well. There are lots of people I could consider my role model, but I specifically look up to Dezi and Ashley Babcock. They are such amazing people and are sodedicated to choir-I'd love learn from them and better myself as a person. Helping others who may struggle more than some with sight reading or solfege could be helpful in maybe becoming someone's role model. It would be really great for someone to look up to me as much as I look up to some of the others in choir. Also, being confident can be something others could look up to. :)

I need to improve my singing by listening to other people more. That will allow me to find how my part fits in with the other parts. To do this, I simply need to focus more in class (even though I haven't been there in what feels like forever...haha). My role model in choir is Hayden Dobb because she always knows what is going on in class and works hard every day. Everyone in choir should strive to be like her because she rocks! To be a better role model in choir, I could pay attention more and sing my parts louder. This would help other people to become more confident and sing louder as well! Can't wait for the Frauenthal! :)

To improve my behavior, I need to stay in it all the time and not get off task. Sometimes I think about other things, which causes me to get off task. My role models in choir are the Harmonics because they are all such great leaders and strive to be the best that they can. I love to sing and perform with all of them. To be a better role model, I could ask if people need help more and pay attention to people who may be struggling with some parts. Also, I could sit somewhere else each day and sing my part out, so people who are struggling can hear it. Being confident is another thing people tend to look up too. I am so excited for our Christmas Concerts! :)

One thing I need to improve on that leads to my singing is making sure all my pieces of music are memorized, which will make me more confident in my singing. One thing I need to improve on during rehearsal in class is really focusing and listening to others around me. My role model is the High School choir because the whole choir helps each other out and we work together as a team. Some things I can do so that other people in the choir can look up to me and I can be their role model is setting a good example everyday, which means singing out and trying my best everyday. One way in which I can improve my singing in choir is to not be afraid to ask questions when there is something that I need help with in the music. Something in which I can do to improve my rehearsal behavior is to pay more attention in class and to not let the little things distract me. My role model in choir would be Madi Blum. She goes up and beyond the call of duty of a choir student. She is soft spoken, but she gets the job done and is a help to many. I think the way in which I can become someone that people will look up to is to set a good example, being willing to help others, and step up when others do not take the initiative needed.

One thing that I need to improve with my singing would be working on dynamics and singing more from my diaphragm. And when it comes to improving rehearsal behavior, I would just say being more positive during rehearsals and making sure that I always put my all into everything that I'm doing. My role model in choir is Alyssa Johnson and Nicole Rypstra. They may not think that I notice them but every time I look at them, they're always giving their all. Alyssa is a sweet girl with a kind spirit and I wish others would see what I see. Nicole is an amazing singer and she always gives off a positive vibe. One thing that I always try to do to be a good role model is put the negativity beside me, because if someone in my section needs help, then I have a positive attitude in order for them to want to become better themselves.
